Little Black Dress

Dress: Karen Zambos, Sold out
Jacket: Zara, Old
Shoes: JCrew
Clutch: Saint Laurent Paris (YSL)

Happy Monday,
I've discovered a new love for fun flirty dresses, and this new piece is no exception. I love the twirly feathers and it's sheer surface, factors which makes it the perfect date night, to an all around celebratory dress... The perfect black dress.
To give the look a touch of spring, I choose my pale blue jacket, I felt that the hue along with the metallic silver from the shoes made for a great pair.
On a more personal page, I choose to wear this dress the past weekend to celebrate a wonderful evening.
Over the weekend my beau and I celebrated 3 years of dating, wow how time flies; It just doesn't seem that long ago that we met. I feel so lucky to call him my love, partner in crime and my amazing photographer.
Here's to many more years to come!

Obtical Illusion

Dress: Zara, Sold out
Jacket: JCrew, Get it Here
Shoes: Valentino, Get it Here
Sunglasses: Prada, Get it Here

Hello,
Fitted dresses aren't pieces I usually gravitate towards but when I saw this dress, I was immediately drawn to it for two reasons; the print, I enjoyed the fact that the stripes are so fine that it gave the dress the ability to create an optical illusion.
The length, it was purchased as a maxi dress, then I had the idea of shortening it into a midi as the a maxi tube dress can be challenging to walk in, not to mention the cost, the dress was quite reasonable.
I've always loved midi tube dresses and now I have my very own. To seal the look, my neon shoes fit the bill.

Dream In Colour

Top: Madewell, Old, Try This & This
Skirt: Asos, Old
Shoes: JCrew, Get it Here
Sunglasses: Prada, Get it Here

Happy Monday,
While trolling through my wardrobe, I came across a gem I had never taken for a spin...this skirt that is.
It reminds me of a water-coloured garden, so on these early days of spring what could be more perfect?
To add more volume to the skirt, I filled with a tulle skirt underneath; I felt the volume was essential to fully capture the look.
So why not do a bit spring cleaning of your own, who knows what gem you may discover.

Stripes Play Over Floral

Top: Zara, Sold Out, Similar Here
Skirt: Marni, Old, Try These
Bag: Proenza Schouler, Love This
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik, Old
Sunglasses: Prada, Get it Here

Hello,
Spring is finally here... are you as exhited as I am?
On this third day of stripes, I chose my wildly printed Marni skirt as the showcase.
This skirt can be a bit overwhelming due to the collection of florals compounded in the piece but my love for it trumps my possible fear of it's bounty of colours.
I chose 2 hues from the skirt to style above it, hence the horizontal black and white top.
I hope you've enjoyed this look.
See you soon.

Texture... Print & Stripes

Top: Madewell, Old
Skirt: Topshop, Sold Out, Similar Here, Here, Here & Here
Shoes: JCrew, Sold Out
Clutch: Saint Laurent Paris (YSL), Sold Out, Love This
Sunglasses: Prada, Get it Here
Pin: Chanel

Hello,
On my continued exploration of horizontal stripes, I decided to revisit this ostrich skirt last seen here. I love this skirt due to the flirty flare but it reminds me a bit of the Flinstones... I had to remove the cartonish image out of my brain. To do so, I paired it with this subtly trapezed horizontal stripe top and closed the look with a pair of floral shoes adorned with crystals.
With this look I was trying to showcase three elements; texture introduced by the skirt, print achieved by the shoes, and lastly stripes accomplished by the top.
I hope you'll enjoy the look and be inspired by it.
